Fashion is all about playing with new trends. Not everything works on everyone so my advice is to try and explore different options but without compromising to feel good about how you look.
Animal print is one of my favorite pattern and I frankly don’t see it as a trend but more as a timeless statement detail. I was pretty excited that it is fully back on. You can be very chic in an animal print and most likely it won’t go out of style. If you don’t dare about a full animal print ensemble, a purse or a pair of shoes will be a great touch!
Plaid feels like Fall and has a vintage elegance to it that I like a lot. It can look modern like the picture on the left or sophisticated as you can see on the right image.
As an image consultant and stylist, I love a ruching because it works on a lot of different body types. It can camouflage the mid section and create a nice waistline. A ruched dress or even a swimsuit (this one here has pearls details!) will create a nice hourglass figure.
I hope you got inspired to go out of your confort zone and try new trends!
September is here and the feeling of a fresh start is always reinvigorating for me. During Summer, we tend to be lazy and take everything slower…which is great but vacation mode can’t last forever. This back to school mentality gets me to clean out my pantry cabinet, my closet and create lists of things that I really want to do.
In terms of clothes, I like reassess for the change in season, to see what needs to be tossed away and what I miss in my wardrobe to give me a little extra confidence that will make me feel good about tackling September.
Wether you work for yourself or in an office you want to give your image a back to work attitude. This enabling you to be the best version of yourself at work while adding a little extra courage to tackle new challenges while looking your best.
My go to list for you would be:
A nice blazer…that can dress up a pair of jeans in no time!
A pointy flat or pump… it will give you this extra authority. If you worked with me, you know that I love angles and straight lines that pump up the business look.
New haircut…Feel fresh and polished.
A statement piece of jewelry. It can be a bracelet, necklace or a pair of earrings. Something with a “wow” factor that will make you look apart!
(Psstt… A blazer, a new pair of shoes, hair cut and a nice watch…. that’s the male go to list version 😉 )
Part II of my summer accessories is about bags!
During summer I like to play with fun purses that use different colors and style. I love to use a beach bag for running errands or go to the market. In the south of France we get some really nice straw bags that we use for everything.
Summer is here (for the ones who don’t live in San Francisco)! I have been lucky shopping for clients who need a vacation wardrobe. One of my favorite thing is to shop for summer accessories including sandals… Hence to the first part of my summer accessories blog story!
In summer, since you can not really wear layering pieces, what makes an outfit pop are the accessories.
I personally love a nice pair of sandals. Heels or not, they can make a statement. Wear a simple dress and add a stylish sandals and you are done! Here is my selection for you.
I hope I inspired you to make more of a splash with your sandals.
I LOVE a pair of sneakers. I wear mines all the time. I have a pair of white, a pair of black and thinking of adding a pink or silver one… Of course, I walk a lot because of my work but I also think they became a timeless piece. It is not a casual pair of shoes for young adults anymore.
I love how you can wear them in a lot of different ways. Dressing them up, down, with dresses, pants, jeans… Your choice!
If you are not sure about it, look at these pictures.
