Easy Last-Minute Halloween Costume Ideas

Halloween is just around the corner and even though I’ve known it was coming for a while, this is usually the time I pick out a Halloween costume. I don’t have to tell you how hard it is to plan a halloween costume with everything we all have going on. It ends up being that thing on your to do list that always gets pushed to the next day and suddenly the next day is Halloween.

No wonder choosing what to wear for Halloween always ends up being stressful and frustrating. But it doesn’t have to be, especially this year when we have been given so many different icons to dress up as. So if you can’t figure out what to wear, I have some easy costume ideas you can pull together last-minute.

Barbie

Of course I’m going to start with Barbie, I know it’s the obvious choice but the great thing about Barbie is that we can all be Barbie. And in a literal sense, everyone can be Barbie because all you need is some pink. I think pairing it with some white pieces is the best way to get the full look and don’t forget to accessorize.

Indiana Jones

I love this outfit because it’s easy, comfortable and cute. All you’ll need is a white button down, some khaki pants, a brown jacket and a fedora, bonus points if you also get a whip. And it doesn’t really matter if you’ve seen the movie or not. ;)

Catwoman

An oldie but a goodie. It mostly means wearing a lot of black and of course some accessories to really bring out the sexy. A pair of high black boots, and long sleeve leather gloves will do just the trick. To finish it off, you can pass by just about any store to grab some cat ears and a mask.

Emily in Paris

This may be my new favorite costume. I’ll never say no to wearing a beret and to dress as whimsically as Emily does. By no means does she get French style, but I have to say her crazy colorful outfits have grown on me. To dress up like Emily, throw on any number of bold items together, the more color the better, or copy this very classic Emily look.

Wednesday Addams

I have to say I was a bigger fan of the original show but I do love the resurgence of the witchy aesthetic. To dress like Wednesday Addams you’ll need a black dress, black socks, black shoes, and you can’t forget the black nails. Do your hair up in her trademark double braids to look indiscernible.

Hopefully you can find at least one of these costumes inside your closet. Whether you choose to go for a more classical Halloween look like Wednesday Addams, or something more bright and bubbly like Barbie, have fun with it. Play with different things around your house, you’ll be surprised with what you find!
